Mental Health & Breast Cancer Support: Building Awareness and Community Wellness
Supporting Minds and Bodies: Mental Health & Breast Cancer Awareness in Our Community
At the Sow Family Foundation, we believe true community wellness means caring for both the mind and the body.
Mental Health Support
We provide culturally responsive, non-clinical mental health resources for underserved communities, unhoused neighbors, refugees, and families living in deep poverty. Through safe spaces, peer-led circles, and access to trusted community leaders, we help individuals reduce isolation, build resilience, and restore hope.
Breast Cancer Awareness & Support
We are equally committed to raising awareness about breast cancer, advancing early detection, and providing education and support for individuals and families impacted by this disease. With 1 in 8 women in the U.S. facing breast cancer in their lifetime, and men also at risk, we ensure that awareness and support extend across all genders and all communities.
Together, these two focus areas reflect our mission: to honor the dignity of marginalized families, to remove barriers to care, and to stand with God’s children wherever He sends us, beginning here in Austin and reaching across the globe.
Our Community-Focused Approach Includes:
Free wellness checkups and health screenings in underserved communities
Educational outreach on prevention, early detection, and treatment options
Emotional and mental health support, including peer support groups and wellness resources
Awareness campaigns that reach both women and men across diverse communities
We understand that a diagnosis affects more than the body, it impacts the mind, the spirit, and the entire family. That’s why we provide a safe, compassionate space for healing and connection, helping individuals face their journey with strength and support.
Join us in spreading awareness, reducing stigma, and saving lives because breast cancer is not just a diagnosis; it’s a call to community.
