The Sow Family Foundation, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a trusted, community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness, addressing food insecurity, supporting non-clinical mental health through Healing Circles, empowering youth through education, and uplifting vulnerable families and refugees in our community.

We are a one-stop community organization that works directly alongside the people we serve. Through compassion, lived experience, and strong community partnerships, we provide practical support that helps individuals and families move from crisis toward stability, dignity, and opportunity.

What We Do

Housing Stability
We help individuals avoid or exit homelessness through prevention, diversion, housing navigation, and support services provided through the SOW Community Resource Hub.

Mental Health & Community Wellness
Through our Healing Circles, we offer culturally responsive, non-clinical mental health support that promotes emotional resilience and reduces isolation.

Food Security
Through our Feeding Hearts program, we provide hot meals and essential supplies to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Education & Youth Empowerment
Through programs like Backpacks of Hope, mentorship, and educational support, we help students stay in school and build pathways toward brighter futures.

Refugee & Family Support
We assist refugee families with essential supplies, food, and connections to resources that help them rebuild their lives with dignity in Austin.

Beyond Austin, our humanitarian work also supports underserved communities internationally through education initiatives and clean water access programs.
